A Creekside Christmas
The event was open to GEFCC patients and their families and featured a variety of activities for children to participate in. Children made Christmas crafts, enjoyed hearing Christmas stories, got a Christmas removable tattoo, and enjoyed sweet treats. Children also received age and gender appropriate gifts presented to them by the Northwest Community Hospital staff and graciously donated by NCH staff, Culvers and the Super Hero Collective. Many children also received hats and gloves to help with the cold weather. To top the event off, children also got a chance to see Santa Claus and take pictures with him!
Parents received information about nutrition and diabetes education services from the NCH Promotoras de Salud.
Greater Elgin Family Care Center received many contributions from local businesses for this event and would like to thank Target of Wheeling, Dunkin Donuts, Sam’s Club, and McDonalds for their generous donations. Most generous, however, were the employees, associates and other stakeholders associated with Northwest Community Healthcare.
Our pediatric patients greatly enjoyed the event, and parents were clearly grateful for the generosity of both NCH and GEFCC.
